Japanese designer Nigo, founder of Bape and Human Made and currently artistic director at Kenzo, is reportedly collaborating with Nike on a sneaker project, according to sources in the sneaker industry.
Nigo has previously worked extensively with Adidas, but the new deal with Nike marks a shift in footwear alliances. Nike and Nigo are in the early stages of their collaboration and any products resulting from it will not be released until 2024 at the earliest.
While Nigo has not confirmed the collaboration publicly, an Instagram post shows him wearing a pair of Nike Go FlyEase shoes. Meanwhile, Adidas has not commented on whether it has an ongoing partnership with Nigo, but sources suggest that their contract will not be extended.
