Luka Doncic may have missed out on the playoffs, but he’s still finding inspiration in his furry friends. The Dallas Mavericks superstar and proud dog dad of three pups has released a new colorway for his first signature shoe, the Jordan Luka 1, which pays homage to his beloved White Swiss Shepherds and Pomeranian.
The upper boasts a clean, all-white design that mimics the dogs’ fur, while black accents on the tongue, vamp, and heel provide a stylish contrast. A playful pop of pink adds a splash of color to the pull tabs and exposed mid-foot shank, and the insoles feature the paw prints of his three pets, Viki, Hugo, and Gia. This isn’t the first time Doncic has incorporated his dogs into his sneaker designs; his Air Jordan 35 Low PEs also featured Hugo and Gia.
While Doncic won’t be playing in the postseason, fans can still show their support with the Jordan Luka 1. And who knows, maybe the pup-inspired design will even attract some four-legged fans to the court.
