Nike and Florida A&M University to Release Two LeBron 20 Colorways on May 9th

Florida A&M University (FAMU) has signed a six-year contract with Nike and LeBron James, making Nike the exclusive provider of FAMU’s athletic apparel, footwear, and equipment. The partnership has resulted in many exclusive FAMU colorways of LeBron’s shoes. Two new FAMU-inspired LeBron 20 colorways have recently been revealed by Frankie Walker, and they are set to release to the public on May 9th.

The design is inspired by the school’s colors of orange and green and features a predominantly black upper with hints of orange and green on the Nike swoosh, tongue, and sole. The FAMU Rattlers’ logo is also prominently displayed on the tongue and heel of the shoe.

This collaboration celebrates the relationship between Florida A&M University, one of the nation’s top historically black colleges and universities, and LeBron James, who has been an advocate for education and has provided support to students and schools through his LeBron James Family Foundation. The shoe was released in limited quantities and sold out quickly, making it a coveted collector’s item amongst sneaker enthusiasts and fans of both FAMU and LeBron James.

Although FAMU has already received two Player Exclusive offerings of LeBron 20s, these two new colorways are the first to be available to the general public. Both colorways are designed in FAMU’s signature colors with one heavily using orange as the main color and green accents, including a snakeskin pattern, while the other has a white-dominant base with similar orange and green accents.
