Michael Jordan’s Game-Worn Air Jordan 13s Set New Auction Record at $2.2 Million

Michael Jordan’s game-worn Air Jordan 13 sneakers from Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals have sold for a record-breaking $2.238 million at Sotheby’s New York, making them the most expensive shoes ever sold at an auction. The black and red sneakers were originally owned by a ball boy who received them as a gift from Jordan after the game.

Jordan wore the iconic sneakers during the second half of the game, which the Bulls won. The 1998 season was dubbed “The Last Dance” and marked the end of the Bulls’ core team, which won their second three-peat and an NBA title that year.
